Local South Hadley Homes For Sale Search Phrase Goes To The Top Of Google Page.

Nine weeks ago we started the process of testing a theory we had read about. The idea was to see if we could get our review site to the top of a Google Search Page, in a highly completive market. The market we choose was real estate, naturally. The area of the country we choose Western Massachusetts, also known as the Pioneer Valley.

Our goal was simple we wanted to see for ourselves how long it would take us to have our review site on the first page of Google, and in the top spot, “Page Rank 1”.

Our process choose the keyword phrase we choose “homes for sale”.  The competition for those keywords was out of sight, highly competitive. Our competition Homes.com, Trulia, Real Estate Yahoo and Realtor.com. Their back links are in the millions.

Our project director made sure that every page of the review site was fully optimized.
We launched the site with no fan fair, just a few articles posted on our USBN web site. When we searched for the site a few days after launch, we found it page 12.

Next task was writing the first set of articles, I want to make it clear, that everyone understand “we did not post any articles or video content to any other site other than the USBN web site”. We wanted to see how much success we would acquire from just using that site as our content distribution channel.
Our site moved from 12 to 8 page position in about 8 days. The most frustrating part next was that we stayed in that position for very close to 5 weeks.
We then started to write a few articles but did not post them. We needed first to figure out what graphics would go with the articles. We understood that if we had the graphics in with the article we could get better SEO for the article and the site we were linking the articles. During that time we opened up an account with Photobucket for the graphic to be uploaded to.

Once having everything in order and ready to go, we built a Facebook Fan page and named the page South Hadley Homes For Sale. Our next task was working for a few days asking some of our friends on Facebook to go to our Facebook site and “Like” the page. The reason for that was so we could have the vanity name. The only thing left to do was write and post a few articles to our content distribution channel.  After that every few days we would go to Google, open to the Google home page, type in our key word phrase and see where we were. Check out the results after the 11 weeks.
